·Il nastro in acciaio resiste a una torsione moderata, ma non deve essere piegato. Può essere sostituito qualora sia danneggiato.
·La scala è protetta da uno smalto in poliestere opaco antiriflesso.
·Il nastro è protetto dalla corrosione ed è in grado di resistere all'umidità e al contatto con la maggior parte dei solventi.
